Daughters of Eve is a non profit organisation that works to protect girls and young women who are at risk from female genital mutilation (FGM). By raising awareness about FGM and sign-posting support services we aim to help people who are affected by FGM and ultimately help bring an end to this practice.
Our wider work is to advance and protect the physical, mental, sexual and reproductive health rights of young people from female genital mutilation practicing communities. We recognise that FGM occurs in the context of wider harmful practices and that young people often have many different problems. We take a holistic approach, offering advice and support to help young people in as many ways as we can.

The Vagina Monologues
Feminism In General, Daughters Of Eve and Clit Rock have joint forces to present The Vagina Monologues. Based on author Eve Ensler’s ‘Vagina Interviews’ conducted with women from all around the world, this hilariously witty and moving collection of tales give voice to a chorus of lusty, outrageous, poignant, brave and thoroughly human stories.
Along side the original work of Eve Ensler, there will also be new personal and powerful monologues from FGM survivors, providing awareness, about the practice and how we can take action in its prevention.
This event is a fundraiser for Daughters of Eve, FGM survivor group, an amazing space for young people who have been affected by FGM to get support and information to help them deal with their experience.
As well as the play on the night there will also be a stall with t-shirts, sweets, cakes, a raffle and DJs afterward for the purposes of mingling, dancing with a bar open till late. This will be an educational as well as entertaining and powerful evening so please come join us and raise not just funds but also awareness of FGM and the great work Daughters of Eve are doing.
